Basics of Programming with P5.js

Interested in getting started with programming or generative art? Come learn basic programming concepts at the idea fab lab using processing, a beginner-friendly programming language designed for making visual art. Students will spend 2-3 hours learning to go from 0 to 100 starting with absolutely no programming experience and ending with a unique piece of artwork!

The class will cover how to write a simple program using variable, loops, functions and conditional statements that in the end will create a visual image that represents the individual intent of its author. The art created will be displayed at Idea Fab Lab’s open houses for all to see! This class is great for all ages interested in understanding how programs are written – absolutely no prior experience needed.
