IDEA FAB LABS HOSTS GRAND OPENING FRIDAY

Idea Fab Labs will host a grand opening 6-9 p.m. Friday at the Wrigley building, 2879 Mission St. Extension.

Idea Fab Labs, founded by Erin Banwell in Chico, expanded to Santa Cruz in June and offers memberships that will give participants access to tools and a community of makers where creators can exchange ideas and work on projects.

Shannon Stillman, Banwell’s business partner, invites people to visit. There will be demonstrations of crafting tools, 3-D printers, a CNC mill, a laser cutter and installation pieces on display.
